Join Team Watermelon Couch

The Watermelon Couch is bursting with possibility and opportunity to share the wisdom and magic of the road trip conversations.

There’s plenty to do

The Watermelon Couch in 2026 is deep into organizing and producing a series of products and experiences that have been collected from the past 3 summers of roadtrips and art making.

The only way that I can move forward in power and impact is by calling upon the talents of my network and community. The following is an skillsets I’m in need of. My hope is that you see a way to elevate any of these initiatives by contributing your talents and resources.

In Search Of…

  • Editors, Filmmakers, Writers, Social Media Managers, Podcasters, etc.

This is the most impactful task of the WC universe - sharing the interviews. By building a YouTube channel, IG, and TikTok we can complete the central purpose of the WC and that is to share our stories.

  • This is the PR, program development role, that is all about growing the  WC community and building relationships. I envision a lot of emailing + following up about various Watermelon Couch programming. Focuses include

    • Grant outreach

    • Marketing + Branding Comms

    • Comm’s network database

    • Project management

  • Digital, Print, Product, Experiential

This is both a production and collaboration role. Production will focus on branding and marketing assets in both print, digital, and all things interactive. Requires taking creative direction from me and fundamental design knowledge.

Collaboration will take place with regards to your specific speciality as it applies to the current project roster.

    Design Project Roster

    • 3 vol. magazine production. Vol. 1 releasing Summer ’26.

    • Watermelon Couch set design for pop-ups & installations

    • Inflatables such as 1. bounce house and 2. Mini inflatable couch for camping or going to the beach

  • There is a library of adventures and conversations from the past three years that need to be organized. There have been over 100 interviews conducted on the couch  and most of them still need to be edited, organized, outlined, and archived.

This role is critical because it will allow us to develop lesson plans and other educational products.

  • After 3 years, I’ve built up enough collateral and connections to qualify for a variety of funding opportunities, whether they be grants, private donors, investments, etc.

Lets discuss monetizing the WC and explore opportunities that best suit me.

  • There’s a lot of art making that needs to happen. Think set design. I have a studio where I’m building and testing out concepts. I also have standing productions that need the next level of completion.

Lemme know what you think
